Home A Reciprocal Link From A Website With A PR1 Could Give You More PageRank Than A PR6 Website
You will need Search Engine Optimization, Offshore Web Development and Increasing PageRank to get where you want to be!
It is believed that the way to get a high PageRank (PR) is to get quality websites with high PR scores to link to you, thereby increasing your PR by “sharing” theirs. This is a great theory, however, it’s slightly more involved than that.
Let me explain. The Google algorithm for calculating PageRank says that the amount of PageRank a page has to pass along to its link recipients is the PageRank of the page divided by the number of outgoing links. For example, you convince a website with a PR of 6 to link to you. This website already has 3 outgoing links. So according to the formula 6 divided by 3 is 2, therefore that site with a PR of 6 only has 2 units of PR to pass along to you. Add to that the fact that the PR on the home page of that site, which is more than likely not where your link will be located, is not the PR of every page. The page where they put your link, usually a “links” page, will probably have a much, much lower PR. Not such a great deal is it? Now just think about the large sites that have a PR of 8 or 9 but have hundreds of outgoing links all sharing that precious 8 or 9 PR points.

Now before you tear your hair out wondering what now, think about this.
If you get links from new sites with low PR, and you believe their PR is low only because they are new, not because they are bad sites, then a link from them in the long run would be worth more than a link from the high PR site.

Why? Well, several reasons, first of all it’s usually easy to convince these sites to link to you. Secondly, you can probably get them to put your link on their home page rather than a links page. Third, they rarely have many other links to share their PR with you. Fourth, their home page will have a lot of on-topic keywords that make it a valuable link in the eyes of Google. Fifth, you can usually get them to link to you using a keyword phrase in the link. Incoming links that don’t contain your keyword phrase don’t help you. And finally, chances are good they’re not going to be unknown or low PR sites forever; and as their PR increases, so does yours.

But don’t bother with sites whose PageRank bar is either white, or worse, gray.
This means that they either have no PR at all or they have been banned. These sites won’t help you, and the gray bar sites could even hurt you. Why take that chance?
Still skeptical? Well let’s do a little math, shall we? A link from a page that has a PR=2 and has 5 outgoing links (one of those going to your site) would give you a PR boost of 2 divided by 5, which is about 0.4. A page with a PR8 and having 200 outgoing links would give you a PR boost of 0.04 (8 divided by 200). That’s 10 times more PageRank boost from the low PR website. So, what are you waiting for? Get busy finding those links!
